The recommended light is 540 so if you’re under that we recommend brining a fellow guardian. The fight has three damage phases with the Ogre in which waves of thralls and knights intermittently attack you. The Gravetide Summoner will begin to shoot at guardians in the last phase. Kill the ogre first and the rest of the fight is over quickly. We earned the Scatterhorn Robe which is a chest piece for Warlock.

Naruto to Boruto: Shinobi Striker review

Your daily selection of the hottest trending gaming news!

According to (This article and its images were originally posted on God is a Geek: Video Game Reviews, Previews, Videos, Podcasts, and More. September 25, 2018 at 02:35PM.)

I’ll tell you something, my wife would have killed me if I’d have suggested calling our son Boruto. I started watching Naruto before I started dating her, so that was over 12 years ago; I really enjoyed the adventures of the talentless ninja who more than made up for his shortcomings with sheer determination and hard work. Eventually I grew fed up with terrible filler and stopped watching the anime and moved on to the manga instead. It was quite a ride, and at the end I had tears in my eyes, not because of it ending, but because of how the character had grown. Thing is, even with all that, I still can’t get behind the name Boruto.

Boruto is Naruto’s son, Naruto now the Hokage of Konoha village oversees the running and protection of the village while his son makes trouble. The new manga isn’t drawn by Masashi Kishimoto, but he does look after its development while Mikio Ikemoto illustrates. While Boruto the series gets enough content to make full fledged games, Naruto to Boruto: Shinobi Striker is here to bridge the gap and fill in for fans while they wait. The thing is, instead of coming up with their own story like anime filler does, Soleil has instead created a 4v4 online battle game with single player content, but we’ll get to that in a bit.

“RE Engine is a great engine for trial and error, so our experience with previous titles using the same engine has greatly enhanced the new Resident Evil 2,” Kanda added.

According to (This article and its images were originally posted on The Official NVIDIA Blog September 24, 2018 at 12:08PM.)

There are many ways diabetes can be debilitating, even lethal. But one condition caused by the disease comes on without warning.

A patient “can go to sleep one night and wake up the next morning and be legally blind, with no previous symptoms,” said Jonathan Stevenson, chief strategy and information officer for Intelligent Retinal Imaging Systems (IRIS), speaking of the condition known as diabetic retinopathy.

While most complications of diabetes such as heart disease, kidney disease and nerve damage have overt symptoms, diabetic retinopathy can sneak up on a patient undetected, unless spotted early by regular eye exams.

Telltale hit with class-action lawsuit for breaking labor laws

Former employee says layoffs violated federal and state WARN laws

A former Telltale employee is suing the company in a class-action lawsuit, alleging that it violated labor laws on the books in California and nationwide when it laid off hundreds of employees on Friday in advance of a planned closure of the studio.

The complaint, filed Monday in federal court in San Francisco, is a class-action lawsuit submitted by Vernie Roberts on behalf of himself and his fellow laid-off workers. In the complaint, Roberts says Telltale — which is based in the San Francisco suburb of San Rafael, California — let go of the employees “without cause” and without providing them with “advance written notice as required by the WARN Act.”

Meet the Bosses of ASTRO BOT Rescue Mission in New Video

The developers behind Astro Bot Rescue Mission discuss creating some of the bosses you will fight when the PS VR title releases on October 2.

Meet the bosses of ASTRO BOT Rescue Mission in a new video from Japan Studio in which they discuss some of the large enemies you will be fighting throughout their PS VR title.

In the video Nicolas Doucet, Creative Director, Tuyen Ngo, Gameplay Programmer, Sebastian Brueckner, Art Director, and Jamie Smith, Lead Animator, discuss the process behind creating bosses and the unique perspective afforded by virtual reality. In VR the bosses take on a much bigger scale than they do in trailers. Each boss requires the use of a different gadget in order to defeat it. While the bosses are all intimidating, they have a human vulnerability to them when damaged by the player. Each environment the boss is located in is specifically tailored to that boss and the mechanics used during the fight.

Forza Horizon 4 Review — ‘Tis the Season

Your daily selection of the hottest trending gaming news!

According to (This article and its images were originally posted on DualShockers September 25, 2018 at 08:03AM.)

I do not like driving. Maybe it’s because I live in a tourist trap and there is a lot of traffic. Maybe it’s because my car has been hit on three different occasions while it was parked. Maybe the act of driving is actually terrible. For whatever reason, I have hardly enjoyed my time behind the wheel. Any time I did find joy in taking my rather dirty Mazda 3 out for a spin, it was for two reasons. I was driving across the country, and I was doing so at a pace that may not be legal. There is something about traveling afar in a car at high speeds that is almost therapeutic. This feeling has been perfectly encapsulated in Playground Games’ racing series Forza Horizon, with the newest iteration, Forza Horizon 4, being no different.

You’ll begin your “Horizon Life” – the in-game phrasing for your progress – with a quick tutorial of its gameplay alongside the new season feature. As you progress through your first year at the U.K. Horizon Festival, you’ll get a taste of Autumn, Winter, Spring, and Summer before you get your wristband and become part of the Horizon roster. Yes, this time around, you won’t need to buy a whole different expansion to drive in the snow.

Well, some players might have found part of the quest that eventually leads to the weapon, though nobody has found the weapon or properly started the quest yet.

Death Stranding: Kojima Brings Down the House at TGS 2018

According to (This article and its images were originally posted on IGN September 24, 2018 at 08:05PM.)

A special guest on Sony’s stage brought a fitting climax to Tokyo Game Show 2018. Toward the end of the last day of the show, Hideo Kojima appeared on the PlayStation stage to talk about his highly anticipated game Death Stranding.

If anything, the stage event was a reminder that Kojima is just as much of a phenomenon in his home country as in the West. Literally thousands of fans gathered in front of the PlayStation stage, stretching all the way to the back of the cavernous venue, and roared with delight at every new announcement and a new minute-long trailer.

This was by far and away the largest gathering of the four-day event. Appropriately, the first comment Kojima made when appearing on stage was “I can’t believe how many people came!”

Dragon Quest XI Will Have to Sell Well in the West for Future Installments to be Localized

Your daily selection of the hottest trending gaming news!

According to (This article and its images were originally posted on IGN September 24, 2018 at 08:33PM.)

In Japan, Dragon Quest is a franchise like no other. When a new main entry in the series is released, it is a guarantee that millions of copies sell on the first day, as even people who don’t play video games play Dragon Quest. The phenomenon of Dragon Quest in Japan is a legend that even many Western gamers are familiar with, and that legend continues to live on to this day with last year’s Dragon Quest XI: Echoes of an Elusive Age.

Dragon Quest XI finally saw a release on PS4 and Steam in North America and Europe this month. But if Western fans want to enjoy future iterations as well, the game needs to sell.

“We need Dragon Quest to sell in the West, even just a certain amount, if we want to keep making [localized versions].” Dragon Quest XI producer Hokuto Okamoto told IGN Japan at TGS 2018.

Anime Is Perfect For Fighting Game Fodder

While at the Tokyo Game Show, I checked out a trio of fighters based on anime games, including Kill la Kill: IF, My Hero: One’s Justice and Jump Force.

Anime has long been fertile fodder for fighting games. The colorful and interesting characters plus the combative nature of shonen anime and manga make an ideal launching point.

Kill la Kill: IF is the latest from Arc System Works, the fighting game developer most recently responsible for Dragon Ball FighterZ. It’s an arena-based fighter with plenty of ranged and close-quarters combat. Right off the bat, I was unleashing a flurry of attacks, punctuated with quick cutscenes.

The HTC Vive Wireless Adapter is now on sale for $300… or $360 if you own a Vive Pro

Your daily selection of the hottest trending gaming news!

According to (This article and its images were originally posted on PCGamesN September 25, 2018 at 06:52AM.)

The Vive Wireless Adapter has just launched. This long-awaited accessory is now finally on the market for a $300 price tag, and is compatible with both the original Vive headset and the Vive Pro – albeit only via a ‘compatibility pack’ (sold separately, of course) for the latter.

Nvidia may have just added VirtualLink support to the RTX 20-series graphics cards to somewhat solve the issue of breakout boxes and annoying tethers, but Vive remains intent on removing the need for a cable altogether. That’s led to the eventual release of the company’s Vive Wireless Adapter, which removes any physical connection between you and your PC while you jump around in VR.

Red Dead Redemption 2 Hunting, Fishing, and Wildlife Detailed

Your daily selection of the hottest trending gaming news!

According to (This article and its images were originally posted on IGN September 24, 2018 at 01:17PM.)

The hunting, fishing and wildlife systems in Red Dead Redemption 2 are incredibly deep and realistic, if Rockstar’s own descriptions of these systems are anything to go by.

Revealed through the official Rockstar Games website, Red Dead Redemption 2 will be home to approximately 200 species of animals, including various mammals, birds, fish and more. All reportedly behave and react to the game’s environment in unique, logical ways.

For example, as in real life, deer, bison and pronghorn all travel in large herds, sockeye salmon swim upstream, possums play dead in order to be ignored by hunters (which may include the player), birds of prey soar on thermal updrafts, scavengers quickly seek out dead animals to feast upon, and more. It’s all an attempt to create a complex and realistic ecosystem where all members of the food chain must fight for their place.

Sony Will Step Away From The Handheld Games Business In 2019, Leaving It All To Nintendo

Your daily selection of the hottest trending gaming news!

According to (This article and its images were originally posted on Nintendo Life | Latest Updates September 25, 2018 at 06:52AM.)

Sony has now been in the handheld video game business for 15 years. It first began with the release of the PlayStation Portable in 2004 – a device created to tap the insanely popular Nintendo DS market and appeal to older audiences with additional features such as the ability to play music and movies. This eventually followed with a revised and purely digital system known as the PSP Go, released in 2009. When the PSP reached the end of its life, Sony then launched the PlayStation Vita in 2011.

As 2019 draws closer, Sony Interactive Entertainment senior vice president Hiroyuki Oda has revealed the Vita has finally reached the end of its life – with the company not planning to create a new device at this point in time. Speaking to Japanese publication Famitsu, Oda made the following statement:

Remember when Reggie said that Nintendo Switch Online was the Virtual Console’s replacement? Turns out he might have been economical with the truth in that regard, as one clever devil has discovered that the Switch eShop JSON (JavaScript Object Notation, in case you were wondering) contains references to ‘Virtual Console’, as well as several key formats, including ‘SNES’, ‘Game Boy’, ‘Game Boy Color’, ‘Nintendo 64′, ‘Game Boy Advance’ and ‘Nintendo DS’. Gosh.

Total War: Rome 2 is getting review-bombed on Steam because of women generals

Your daily selection of the hottest trending gaming news!

According to (This article and its images were originally posted on PC Gamer September 24, 2018 at 08:10PM.)

Creative Assembly’s historical strategy game Total War: Rome 2 came out in September 2013, and in the five years since it’s notched more than 21,000 user reviews on Steam adding up to a “mostly positive” overall rating. Yet over the past couple of days, more than 660 reviews have rated it “overwhelmingly negative.” What could have so suddenly and dramatically reversed the fortunes of a five-year-old strategy game that’s still in the thick of the Steam Top 100?

It’s a review bombing, of course, and the reason (equally of course) is women, specifically a claim that the recent free Ancestral update dramatically increased the likelihood of generals in the game being female. It’s not clear what specifically started the uproar: Questions about female generals date back to March but it didn’t seem to really gain traction until mid-August, with a screen courtesy of a Steam user named Erick showing five out of eight “Available Generals” as women, followed by predictable complaints about “historical accuracy.” Around the same time, a Patriarchy Mod that purports to reduce the percentage chance of female politicians and general appearing in the game turned up on the Steam Workshop.

According to (This article and its images were originally posted on Eurogamer September 22, 2018 at 12:21PM.)

Bethesda has helped a 12-year-old boy with a rare form of cancer fulfil his wish of playing Fallout 76.

Wes, from Hampton Roads, Virginia, has battled stage four neuroblastoma for half his life after being diagnosed at just five years old.

Just days after doctors told Wes’ family they thought it best to stop his treatment, he realised he probably wouldn’t get to play Fallout 76, due out in November.

In a Facebook post, Wes’ parents revealed Matt Grandstaff, assistant director at Bethesda, drove four hours from the company’s headquarters in Maryland to the family home with not just a copy of the game, but a prototype of the Power Armor helmet due to come with the Power Armor Edition of the game, signed by Bethesda Game Studios chief Todd Howard.

Nintendo Grants Terminally Ill Fan’s Wish To Play Super Smash Bros. Ultimate

Chris Taylor is a big fan of Smash Bros. and was just as excited as anyone else to see the newest game in the series announced this past E3. Unfortunately, he has also been diagnosed with cancer that, despite having beaten it twice before, he has now been told is terminal. Taylor worries he won’t live long enough to see the games he has been excited for, Super Smash Bros. Ultimate and Devil May Cry 5, release in a few months.

Taylor has tweeted about this wish before, which gained some attention, which then set off a chain reaction across gaming subreddits driving attention to his wish.

Sega’s used the first public day of Tokyo Game Show to announce that it’s bringing its arcade classic Virtua Racing to Nintendo’s Switch as part of the Sega Ages series.

Virtua Racing first released back in 1992 for Sega’s Model 1 board in the arcades, marking some of its first experiments with polygonal graphics and the beginning of a golden age for its racing games. It’s enjoyed several home ports since, though with M2 behind this one – who also handled the Sega Ages port for PlayStation 2 back in 2004 – this promises to be the best.

The first boss in Destiny 2: Forsaken’s new raid has already been soloed

Your daily selection of the hottest trending gaming news!

According to (This article and its images were originally posted on gamesradar news September 20, 2018 at 04:27PM.)

It took the best Destiny raiders in the world nearly 19 hours to initially clear Last Wish, the new raid in Destiny 2’s Forsaken expansion, when it released last Friday. But now that players have learned the raid’s fights and boosted their power levels, they’re already chasing Last Wish challenge runs using smaller teams. Known challenge raider Slayerage recently killed Kalli, the Corrupted, the first boss in Last Wish, with the smallest team possible—which is to say, just him.

Slayerage posted the above video of his solo Kalli kill earlier today. In a comment on Reddit, he confirmed he was 587 power during the run. His high power level was a huge factor in his ability to damage Kalli and the encounter’s many enemies, which troubled full teams of six on the day of the raid’s release. Naturally, his loadout played a big part too: the beloved Whisper of the Worm exotic sniper rifle made relatively short work of Kalli, and the new Fatebringer-inspired raid hand cannon kept the basic enemies in check.

We recently had the opportunity to play Devil May Cry 5 at TGS. During our demo we encountered the Divinity Statue, which acts as a shop where you can trade in orbs collected during combat and exploration, and in that menu we discovered that players will have the option to spend real money to accrue more orbs if they wish to expedite the upgrade process and beef up Dante earlier than usual.

PlayStation Underground released new footage showing off the fight with the Corrupted Monk today. The video takes us through some territory we’ve already seen in reveal footage from Sekiro, including the fight with the mid-boss samurai general and a tussle with a chained ogre in an open courtyard area.

Telltale Games is Shutting Down?

Your daily selection of the hottest trending gaming news!

According to (This article and its images were originally posted on TouchArcade September 21, 2018 at 03:41PM.)

We’re really not sure what to make of this news, as it’s one of those stories that’s coming red hot out of the Twitter machine, but it seems as if Telltale Games either closed down today or is closing down in short order based on posts from many people looped in to the company. Aside from tweets, the news seems incredibly plausible as Telltale was on a bender of releasing all kinds of games, from many different IP’s, but they’ve been more or less radio silent over the last few months. Needless to say, this news is taking many by surprise as not long ago Telltale was on the top of the world with the overwhelming success of Walking Dead: The Game (Free) and many other similar titles from blockbuster IP.

YouTube isn’t interested in organizing esports tournaments, despite internal discussion

Your daily selection of the hottest trending gaming news!

According to (This article and its images were originally posted on Polygon September 18, 2018 at 12:42PM.)

YouTube played host to the summer’s biggest esports tournament: Fortnite Friday.

The tournament collected some of the best players in the world, including Ninja and Myth, and pitted them against 50 other top players, streamers and YouTube personalities. It wasn’t an official tournament organized by Epic Games; instead, it was created by Keemstar, a prominent and controversial YouTube creator. The cash-prize tournament quickly became one of the most-watched weekly events, as players, streamers and YouTube creators jumped onto their own personal Twitch or YouTube page to broadcast the match.

Ryan Wyatt, YouTube’s head of gaming, told Polygon that conversations have come up internally at YouTube about possibly organizing tournaments, but it’s not something he’s interested in pursuing right now.

“A lot of people have asked this question over the years with me from the business side,” Wyatt said. “We’re a video platform first, and all we really ever focused on is empowering people to create content. We want to stay away from being the content creator. We want to enable people to do the content creation.”

Wyatt brought up a recent milestone for YouTube Gaming — ElRubius’ 100 YouTube creator Fortnite livestream, which brought in more than one million concurrent viewers. It broke records for YouTube Gaming, according to Wyatt, and is an example of what the team wants to help creators build. Getting involved with tournaments, and organizing them, would detract the team from focusing on the community.

“That was all a grassroots effort by our Spanish speaking creators,” Wyatt said. “We made sure we helped them as far as giving them some guidance and helping organize it, but they did everything. The YouTube battle royale event — they did all of it from, from start to finish and that’s what’s the beauty of it. We don’t want to be the ones that are actually creating it and facilitating it, because then I think you start competing with the people who are on your platform that are trying to find success.”

Official tournaments hosted by publishers and gaming companies will continue to exist on YouTube and Twitch, but Wyatt is convinced that YouTube won’t be orchestrating any tournaments in the near future.

Eve Online’s senior vice president is now running a UK studio for World of Warships’ developer

Guild Wars 2’s next episode focuses on small stories over big challenges

Your daily selection of the hottest trending gaming news!

According to (This article and its images were originally posted on PCGamesN September 18, 2018 at 12:05PM.)

While it’s standard practice for an MMO’s world and story to evolve through regular updates, no developer goes quite so far as ArenaNet does with Guild Wars 2. The studio frequently releases new episodes of its Living World Seasons that have enough content in them to fill a whole expansion. Each chapter introduces new areas, items, instances, and moves along the Guild Wars story. The newest offering, A Star to Guide Us (Season 4 Episode 4), is no exception.

It starts with you and your allies seeking out the friendly dragon Aurene for help against the Elder Dragon Kralkatorrik. But first, we’re to investigate the Sunspeak Sanctuary with old friend Koss, and on the way have to delve into the ruins of The Command Post from the first Guild Wars. Since it was last seen, the Post has been overrun by a horde of giant spiders and their monstrous broodmother.

The Best Mega Man Games You Probably Never Played

Your daily selection of the hottest trending gaming news!

According to (This article and its images were originally posted on IGN September 18, 2018 at 12:18PM.)

Mega Man ZX and ZX Advent were some of the most exciting and engaging Mega Man games to date.

With the arrival of Mega Man X Legacy Collection in July, gamers are falling in love with the X series all over again. Most fans would tell you that the X games revolutionized Mega Man, but that the series lost favor in the early 2000s, with X6-X8 being the nails in the coffin for these action platformers. Capcom had begun transitioning to the Battle Network style in the early 2000s, but this telling leaves out some of the most exciting and engaging Mega Man games to date.

Mega Man ZX and ZX Advent were released on the Nintendo DS in 2006 and 2007, both of which are sequels to the more widely appreciated Mega Man Zero. The ZX series had generally strong reviews, but some of the lowest sales in the franchise’s history. It’s really a shame, because both games not only provide the high-paced side-scrolling action that fans crave, but they also push X-style gameplay forward in several interesting ways.

Asus is releasing a power supply with a built-in OLED display

Your daily selection of the hottest trending gaming news!

According to (This article and its images were originally posted on PC Gamer September 18, 2018 at 02:33PM.)

Asus is expanding its product lineup to now include power supplies, and it’s looking to make a splash with its first model by implementing an OLED display into the PSU’s chassis.

The new ROG Thor is the first consumer PSU featuring an integrated OLED power display. It shows real-time power usage so you can see what kind of wattage your system is pulling from the wall at any given time. There are software solutions that do the same thing, though if your PSU is visible inside your case, we suppose this could come in handy for some people.

According to (This article and its images were originally posted on Gamasutra September 17, 2018 at 04:21PM.) – Cover image via Gamers Classified

Australian study warns of link between loot boxes and problem gambling

An Australian committee has released the findings of an investigation on loot boxes in video games started earlier this year, all in all, reporting that loot boxes and problem gambling are linked and that the monetization practice comes with “a serious risk […] to cause gambling-related harm.”

The debate about loot boxes and their connection to gambling has been raging for quite some time at this point, but the Australian government’s investigation and findings back a growing number of lawmaking bodies and regulatory committees working to impose or encourage regulation of the practice.

Boss Key’s multiplayer shooter LawBreakers has officially shut down

Your daily selection of the hottest trending gaming news!

According to (This article and its images were originally posted on Gamasutra September 18, 2018 at 10:01AM.)

Boss Key Productions’ ill-fated multiplayer shooter LawBreakers has been shut down. The studio revealed the game would be laid to rest back in June, and last Friday the time came to switch off the lights for good.

Despite being generally well-received, LawBreakers struggled to find an audience since launching in August 2017.

Publisher Nexon blamed its misfortune on the arrival of PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds, which released around the same time and became an instant hit.

“The timing of LawBreakers‘ launch turned out to be unfortunate, specifically because the blockbuster PC online game PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds came out right about the same time,” commented Nexon exec Shiro Uemera.

The shooter’s inability to find a foothold also spelled disaster for developer Boss Key, which has since closed its doors after making a last ditch attempt to stay in business with free-to-play battle royale effort, Radical Heights.

Those worthless gold coins from My Nintendo can be used to pay for Switch Online memberships

Your daily selection of the hottest trending gaming news!

According to (This article and its images were originally posted on Destructoid September 17, 2018 at 12:36PM.)

$20 for a year of Nintendo Switch Online isn’t the worst price around, but the value isn’t really there. All of the features are years behind the competition and the selection of free titles is incredibly lackluster. I suppose the family plan option might make it more palatable for customers, but there seems to be a silver lining here that we didn’t notice before. In the newly updated FAQ for Nintendo’s online service (which is separate from the one I had used for my last article about Switch Online), it states that users can use My Nintendo Gold Coins to pay for their subscriptions to Nintendo’s service.

Assassin’s Creed Odyssey Post-Launch Details Revealed

Your daily selection of the hottest trending gaming news!

According to (This article and its images were originally posted on PlayStation Blog September 13, 2018 at 12:05PM.)

Assassin’s Creed Odyssey is a huge game, and after it arrives on PS4 on October 5, it’s going to keep growing. Post-launch content for Season Pass owners will include two major new story arcs told across multiple episodes, with each episode releasing approximately six weeks apart. Between the releases of the larger episodes, The Lost Tales of Greece will bring a series of new story quests that will be free to all players, and they’ll be joined by free in-game events, including daily and weekly mercenary contracts.

The first major arc, Legacy of the First Blade, launches in December, and introduces players to the early predecessors of the Assassins, including the first person to use a Hidden Blade. In Spring 2019, The Fate of Atlantis confronts players with creatures straight out of Greek myth and challenges them to discover the secrets of the sunken city. Additionally, Season Pass owners will get Assassin’s Creed III Remastered, which includes all of the original game’s content, plus Assassin’s Creed Liberation Remastered. Both games will support 4K and HDR on PS4 Pro, and sport higher-resolution textures, improved lighting, and other visual enhancements.

Before the first post-launch content arrives, Assassin’s Creed Odyssey will deliver an epic adventure across Ancient Greece, in which you’ll match wits with historical figures and mythical monsters. To find out more about what’s ahead when the game launches on October 5, we chatted with Jonathan Dumont, Creative Director for Assassin’s Creed Odyssey.

HDR on PS4 and PS4 Pro: A Developer’s Perspective

Your daily selection of the hottest trending gaming news!

According to (This article and its images were originally posted on PlayStation Blog September 14, 2018 at 11:25AM.)

Imagine! It’s been exactly two years since every single PS4 model was upgraded to support HDR, thanks to system software update 4.0. Looking back, HDR has had a heckuva impact on game artistry, greatly elevating already beautiful-looking games like God of War and Horizon Zero Dawn.

As a primer, HDR, aka high dynamic range, is an image display technology that can generate more vivid and dynamic colors, deeper blacks, and brilliant highlights. It’s one of those rendering technologies that you need to see to believe, because it makes the colors and light you see on your screen more closely matched to reality than with a non-HDR compatible TV.

You’ll want to make sure your 2K or 4K HDR-capable TV supports the HDR10 format. On your PS4 or PS4 Pro, activate this feature by heading to Settings → Sound and Screen → Video Output Settings → HDR and click “Automatic.”

To mark the big day, we asked developers for their insights on how adding HDR brings brilliance to their games.

Today’s Rainbow Six Siege’s patch adds stricter penalties for team killing

Your daily selection of the hottest trending gaming news!

According to (This article and its images were originally posted on VG247 September 18, 2018 at 06:28AM.)

Rainbow Six Siege is about to be become harsher for players who team kill.

Rainbow Six Siege’s Operation Grim Sky launched about two weeks ago, and today, the first post-Grim Sky patch will be released.

The Season 3.1 patch’s biggest change is that it brings even tougher penalties for team killers. Currently, team killing gets the offender kicked from the match. After the patch’s release, this will be changed to a 30-minute ban.

This is true for both casual and ranked, and the punishment will escalate the more the player team kills. The second offence will earn them an hour-long ban, followed by two hours for the third strike, 24 hours for the fourth, and finally a week-long ban for their fifth offence.

Beyond this penalty update, the patch also comes with a few bug fixes for various operators, and maps. 3.1 hits PC today, and consoles tomorrow. Check out the full change log below:

Spyro: Myths Awaken fan game is looking pretty fly

Your daily selection of the hottest trending gaming news!

According to (This article and its images were originally posted on Eurogamer September 18, 2018 at 07:17AM.)

Ask any Spyro fan why they still enjoy playing the old games, and they will probably come back with the same answer: nostalgia. It’s motivated an entire remake of the original Spyro Trilogy, and it’s the word that instantly sprang to mind when I came across Spyro: Myths Awaken.

The game is a fan-made sequel to the Insomniac trilogy, and takes place in an alternative timeline to the events of Enter The Dragonfly and A Hero’s Tail. Instead of re-doing the artwork of the original stories (like Spyro: Reignited Trilogy), the game will provide a brand new story with the retro Spyro design. It’s mainly being made by a small team with Unity, but as you can see by the latest progress video, it’s ambitious.

The Free Roam VR Cage Fight

Free roam VR allows users to walk around inside a virtual world as they would in the real world, albeit wearing a backpack PC and a VR HMD. Inside out tracking allows participants to see their real hands as virtual hands in the digital world. Some free roam VR attractions deepen the illusion with props and sensory elements like heat, wind, and smells. Many believe this is the only true form of VR, and it’s coming to malls, theme parks, and other public spaces around the world.

The ‘Call Of Duty: Black Ops 4’ Blackout Beta Shows That Treyarch Knows How To Battle Royale

Your daily selection of the hottest trending gaming news!

According to (This article and its images were originally posted on Forbes – Games September 15, 2018 at 12:34PM.)

The Blackout beta on PS4, Xbox One and PC has been a smash success so far. Better yet, the game’s lead developer, Treyarch, has been incredibly good at both communicating with the community and responding to player feedback.

Some of that feedback has been addressed in updates. For instance, it was really clunky to pick stuff up in the first day of the beta. Just grabbing a gun or bullets or a medpack off the ground was a chore. You had to hold square down for too long and you had to look directly at the item. That problem was solved the next day, making the game feel much more smooth overnight.

Beyond this, Treyarch has posted daily updates on the Black Ops 4 subreddit. These updates have included both fixes that are coming to the beta in the short-term, as well as issues that Treyarch is keeping an eye on for launch. For instance, the developer responded to gamers who said the sound felt off with this:

Comfortable zero-g gameplay makes Downward Spiral: Horus Station a treat for VR newcomers

According to (This article and its images were originally posted on Eurogamer September 16, 2018 at 09:08AM.)

Downward Spiral: Horus Station. That’s hardly a name that just rolls off the tongue, is it?

Dodgy title aside, Downward Spiral is a surprisingly comfy, zero-gravity space exploration game and you can watch me play through the first act in the video below. Although when I say play I really mean, ‘bounce around the scenery making immature jokes about bodily functions for 25 minutes’.

Basically a standard episode of Ian’s VR Corner then…

Downward Spiral:
