Once again, Sony Computer Entertainment may have inadvertently leaked a release date a bit too early. Last night for a short period of time, the US PlayStation Store showed the release date for the new God of War as March 22, 2018. The site has since been corrected to the old placeholder date of December 31, 2018, but not before I took a screenshot.
Since the 2017 PlayStation Experience is coming up this weekend, it’s likely that a release date announcement will happen for the new God of War. Given that, it’s possible that someone jumped the gun in regards to putting the date up on the PlayStation Store.
Of course, it could be a straight up error and mean absolutely nothing. The last time this happened, it was the then-unannounced Yakuza Kiwami 2 appearing on the Taiwanese PlayStation Store. The game was officially announced a day later.
God of War is currently scheduled to come to PlayStation 4 in early 2018.

After more than five years of hard work, Talaaya Cosplay has created an outstanding recreation of Nintendo’s prolific bounty hunter’s armor.
Created in her spare time over the course of five years, the Varia Suit cosplay offers a proportionate recreation of Samus Aran’s iconic power armor. Talaaya has utilized crafting foam, 3D printing, and many other materials and techniques over the course of several hundreds of hours to create the suit.
“In 2010 when I attended my first PAX Prime I saw all of the cosplay and was inspired,” Talaaya says in an interview with Inven Global. “I immediately started thinking of ideas for my own cosplay and it didn’t take long to settle on Samus as my first (I love a good challenge and boy can I pick them!)”
Talaaya continues to work on and improve the suit, offering videos, pictures, and updates on adjustments and progress made through her website. Videos of the current build of the suit can be viewed below.

We’re happy to announce that Horizon Zero Dawn: Complete Edition is out in stores today! If you’ve never played Horizon Zero Dawn, or if you’ve misplaced your copy somehow, now is an excellent time to dive (back) in. The Complete Edition includes the expansion, The Frozen Wilds, which adds a sizeable chunk of content to Horizon Zero Dawn’s already formidable world. That means more ancient mysteries to uncover, more gripping quests to complete, more dangerous machines to defeat and more colorful personalities to meet.
We’ve prepared a trailer to commemorate the Complete Edition’s launch, one we hope gives a bit of voice to the amazing community that has embraced this game. We continue to be in awe of the amazing support Horizon Zero Dawn has received around the world. Thank you!
Horizon Zero Dawn launched on February 28 and since then, we have tried our best to listen to all your feedback and better your experience. We’ll sum up the most notable additions you will have access to right when you start up the Complete Edition.
First of there is an all new difficulty setting called Story. This will allow you to immerse yourself in the narrative of Horizon Zero Dawn and the exploration of Aloy’s world without having to worry too much about combat.
Secondly there is New Game+; with which you will be able to relive the adventures of Aloy without losing your character progression and your collected inventory.
Thirdly we have added an Ultra Hard difficulty for everyone who likes to have a challenge. This new setting will enhance machine senses and behavior and other additional smaller tweaks.
But that is not all the CE has to offer! You will also have access to The Frozen Wilds expansion and on top of that we have given you access to weapons and outfits that were previously available for players who purchased the Digital Deluxe, Limited or Collector’s Edition (requires 1.45 patch or later). For instructions on how to obtain these in game, check out this helpful FAQ.
If you decide to join Aloy on her quest, please share your adventures by sharing your Photo Mode pictures with us, and if there are any questions you may have, please visit our FAQ.

Since launch early last year, Darkest Dungeon has given us a wonderful official expansion in Crimson Court and a host of neat unofficial player-made mods. Now, developer Red Hook Studios has unveiled ‘The Color of Madness’—a new slice of DLC that’s due next Spring and features extraterrestrial beings.
In something akin to Jeff Wayne’s War of the Worlds, aliens have crash landed on Miller’s farm on the outskirts of the Hamlet. Those in the immediate vicinity have been blinded upon impact, so says this dev blog post, in turn forming a new enemy faction who has set about “spreading the all-consuming influence of the Comet’s light.” This undoubtedly sounds more pleasant in writing than it is in practice.
“Get lost in time and space as you confront unending waves of enemies, new and old, pushing ever closer to the crash site of the Comet,” the post adds. “Survive as long as you can stomach, and compare your highest kill count with friends and rivals alike … The husks of the Miller and his farmhands roam the area around the windmill, spreading the all-consuming influence of the Comet’s light.”
The Color of Madness also brings with it Comet Shards that can be used to purchase new trinkets “with new and powerful functionality” from the Nomad Wagon.
No hard release date just yet, however Red Hook Studios says The Color of Madness is due in Spring 2018. Pricing information will follow in the new year.

‘I want to ride my Chocobo all day’
Back in August Final Fantasy XV was given some free Assassin’s Creed themed DLC in the form of The Assassin Festival. The event took place in the city of Lestallum and allowed players to get an assortment of Creed-themed costumes.
Well, now it seems that the crossover favor is being returned. A new surprise side-quest is set to appear in Assassin’s Creed Origins and it looks like it might reward players with a Chocobo mount.
Also this month, players can look forward to the game’s new Horde mode, new Nightmare difficulty and the addition of optional enemy scaling. Though I must admit, I’m looking forward to riding a big yellow bird around the desert the most.

Raji: An Ancient Epic features architecture inspired by the medieval period in India, monsters drawn from the demonic statues and sculptures of Bali, and combat powers granted by gods of the Hindu religion, giving players a tour through Indian and Indonesian art and belief in the form of an action/adventure game.
Raji: An Ancient Epic follows title character Raji on a quest to bring back her brother after he’s been kidnapped by demons during a raid. Granted power by the Goddess Durga, Raji is given the strength to beat down demons, and through gaining favor with other Hindu gods, she’ll gain new powers over lightning, fire, ice, earth, and rage, allowing players to customize the devastating attacks she can use on these creatures.
Players will be using these powers on creatures like Rangda, a demonic queen from Balinese mythology, as well as other demons inspired by the art of Bali. These creatures will be fought in the colossal, moss-covered palaces from India’s medieval period, creating locales that are breathtaking in scope and in their colorful artwork.
Raji: An Ancient Epic aims to infuse all aspects of play, music, and environment with the culture of India and Indonesia, giving players a wonderful look at their unique art as they fight monsters in challenging 3D combat.

One game mechanic you don’t encounter too often in shoot ’em ups is grind. Sure, there’s repetition in mastering stages and trying to get better with each attempt, but this is usually a question of skill and pattern memorization. However, when a game like Sky Force Reloaded asks you to take on the enemy hordes and just hands you a measly pea shooter, you’d better start saving up for some bigger guns.
Granted, replaying the same level over and over again in order to collect stars (the game’s currency) doesn’t sound too tempting, but Sky Force Reloaded is polished, awfully pretty, and it offers a nice challenge – besides, that feeling of upgrading your craft with some beefy new lasers is pretty satisfying, too.
Eventually, you’ll really know each level like the back of your hand. “The next wave of fighters is coming from the right, and then there will be a bunker in the center and some helis from the left…” Considering that some of the optional bonus goals require you to finish off each and every enemy on screen, it’s good to come mentally prepared.
Sky Force Reloaded is not something I play for hours on end, but I regularly keep coming back to it for a few rounds to grind some stars, buy some new stuff, and slowly but surely advance in the game. I feel like this is how you should approach it.
However, if this doesn’t sound appealing to you, there is also two-player-coop and something called tournament mode which apparently unlocks once you beat the game and adds a competitive element. If you let it, Sky Force Reloaded will keep you shooting and looting for many hours.
You can purchase Sky Force Reloaded from Steam for $9.99, or for the PS4 and Xbox One on their respective digiutal marketplaces. For more information about the game, follow developers Infinite Dreams on Twitter or Facebook.

Destiny 2 will be unplayable for a few hours today as developer Bungie performs server maintenance. The company is taking the game offline for around three hours to perform the maintenance, which applies to PS4, Xbox One, and PC. It’s in order to prepare the game for the launch of Destiny 2’s Curse of Osiris DLC.
Players will no longer be able to log in from 7 AM PT / 10 AM ET / 3 PM GMT on Tuesday, December 5 (that’s 1 AM AEST on December 6 in Australia). An hour later, anyone still playing the game will be booted to the title screen, and Curse of Osiris will become available to download and install. Bungie says the maintenance will end two hours after that–at 10 AM PT / 1 PM ET / 6 PM GMT / 4 AM AEST, at which point Curse of Osiris will finally become playable.
In addition, the end of the maintenance period will bring a new Destiny 2 update, though we don’t yet know everything the patch will contain. As noted above, you’ll be able to pre-load the Curse of Osiris DLC from 8 AM PT / 11 AM ET / 4PM GMT / midnight AEST. However, make sure you have enough storage space. The requirements range pretty dramatically from platform to platform; here’s the minimum that you’ll need on each system (which we can safely assume accounts for the size of the base game):
PS4: 88 GB
Xbox One: 44 GB
PC: 68 GB
Curse of Osiris costs $20 / £17 / AU $30, and is included in the $35 / £30 / AU $50 Expansion Pass. It introduces a new planet, Mercury, for players to visit, along with new story missions, Strikes, Crucible maps, weapons, armor, and more–you can see some of the new gear in the video above. The expansion’s release will coincide with the first of two big December updates. December 5 will also mark a change to Guided Games and the weekly reset schedule, and it will also see the release of PS4 Pro and Xbox One X enhancements for Destiny 2.

Nintendo is bringing a smorgasbord of its older titles, including New Super Mario Bros., Super Mario Galaxy, and Twilight Princess, to China through the Nvidia Shield tablet console.
A Chinese Nvidia Shield trailer posted on Twitter by industry analyst Daniel Ahmad shows the system running various Wii and GameCube titles, while the Nvidia website confirms the games are 1080p remasters.
It’s a notable move for both companies, as (smartphone games aside) Nintendo hasn’t generally made its games available on non-Nintendo hardware — let alone first-party properties like Mario and Zelda.
The Shield itself launched in China today and is currently retailing for $226, with each remaster going for around $10. Right now, it looks as if the partnership is a China-only deal, so it doesn’t look like Shield owners in the West will be able to get in on the action.
More specifically, the Switch was brought to life using some of the same tech seen in the Nvidia shield, including a custom version of the Tegra processor. It’s no surprise, given the two systems are portable tablets, but it’s an interesting tidbit nonetheless.
